Saying the nature of work is interdependence means that no task, role, job, process – nothing in an organization exists in isolation. Work is an ecosystem of people – with resources, activities, tools, and more – who depend on each other to achieve separate and shared goals. Interdependence is the condition that makes both collaboration and conflict not just possible but inevitable.
